Companies wishing to extract petroleum from Ethiopia will have to negotiate a Petroleum Production Sharing Agreement (PPSA) with the Ethiopian Government. Ethiopia adopts a flexible and business-friendly approach to PPSAs, and almost all of the fiscal terms of these agreements are negotiable.
